How they describe themselves: Plynty’s mobile application and platform empowers consumers across the wealth spectrum to take control of their finances through a comprehensive and engaging financial planning process. Only a small percent of the population has sufficient net worth to work with a human financial advisor while self-directed services and robo-advisors typically only appeal to investors. Plynty’s approach enables all consumers to create a full financial plan that is delivered with actionable advice in order to help the user reach their financial goals. How they describe their product/innovation: The Plynty mobile platform and app take a unique approach to financial planning, aimed at providing an efficient and positive planning experience that makes sense to the user. The majority of financial planning tools rely on a “nest egg” approach which is typically unachievable for the user and therefore creates a negative experience. Plynty’s monthly retirement budget methodology allows the user to understand how they can meet retirement budget requirements by improving their monthly income and reducing expenses, strengthening how they save or invest, and protect their financial plan with life insurance or by guaranteeing income.
