Presenter Profile:

How they describe themselves: vaamo is a financial services startup that will fundamentally change the way individuals save and invest. We utilise a mobile optimised web application to provide individuals with unprecedented easy access to a clever investment solution that is superior in terms of performance, risk, and costs compared to most investment products distributed to private clients today. The founding team of vaamo consists of former strategy consultants, one investment banker, and one university professor. All combined makes more than 30 years of practical financial services experience with focal areas in retail and private banking as well as asset and wealth management.

How they describe their product/innovation: Our web application is designed to provide private individuals with easy to use and intuitive access to savings and investments. A key differentiator is the focus on customers’ personal financial goals instead of financial products, the strict limitation of available financial products to only one investment solution, as well as the mobile optimisation. Customers can set up personal financial goals (e.g. retirement, new home), and define for each goal the amount they want to save by when, how much they want to save today and regularly, and which risk they are willing to take. Inputs are instantaneously illustrated using a chart that projects future contributions, performance, and risk, enabling customers to understand the impact of each input.
